Owl habitat experience
The sanctuary is hosting a special three-day event focused on Owl conservation called the Owl habitat experience. During the owl habitat experience, the team will share the adorable personalities of our owls and give you an insight into some of the silly antics they get up to. This experience is a shared experience set in an intimate setting at the Sanctuaries nature reserve. Everyone will have the opportunity to interact and fly an Owl as they are set free to explore our parklands.
The owl’s habitat experience is aimed at increasing the conservation awareness of our threatened owl species whilst encouraging guests to share their garden with local owls. To help our guests create a suitable bird attracting garden, each guest will receive two critical plant species designed for attracting native birds to your garden. Our take-home native plants have been grown and hardened for the Sydney metro area. The plants are six months old and can be managed at 1.5m to 2m tall. The plant species selected are uniquely important for creating natural biodiversity in your home. Their beautiful blooms and dense foliage will attract a variety of birds including owls and butterflies to your backyard.
